Early lead not enough for North Shore City, drop 4-3 decision to West City Metro
North Shore City came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-3 ballgame against West City Metro on Saturday in the Semi Final at Crossfield Reserve.
While North Shore City led until the eighth inning, West City Metro worked its way back and took the lead on a walk off RBI double by Matt Mills. Eric Cho was a workhorse on the mound for North Shore City. Cho pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out four. Mills got the win in relief for West City Metro. Mills pitched one inning and allowed no runs. North Shore City jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the third. Hirayama Nazuki got things going for North Shore City with a single. A single by Nathan Thorp then moved Nazuki from first to second. Quinten Niu singled, bringing home Nazuki.
